The Story

The performance of these impressive little saws lives up to their fine appearance. Compact yet functional, with comfortable beech wood handles, nice balance, and an even cutting action. Made in Hishinka, Japan.

Ryoba The classic all-around woodworking saw with a rip blade on one side and a crosscut blade on the other. Ideal for cutting tenons. Blade length: 175mm (6 in) | Handle: 178mm (7 in) | Overall length: 330mm (13 in) | Blade thickness: 0.3mm

Kugihiki A small flush-cutting saw with numerous uses, from trimming wedges or pins securing a tenon to cutting the excess from a plug concealing a screw. Perfect anywhere a cut is needed adjacent to a finished surface. The flexible blade has 17 tpi and cuts quickly while leaving a smooth finish. There is no set to the teeth, allowing you to approach work from either direction in restricted space. Blade length: 175mm (6 in) | Handle: 178mm (7 in) | Overall length: 330mm (13 in) | Blade thickness: 0.3mm

Kataba Extra steel removed along the cutting edge makes this saw even more efficient. Designed for speed. Blade length: 175mm | Handle: 160mm | Overall length: 340mm | Blade thickness: 0.3mm

Dozuki Cross Cut The Dozuki blade has small teeth and is so thin it needs the back to stay rigid. Creates extremely accurate and fine cuts for your best work. Blade length: 175mm | Handle: 160mm | Overall length: 340mm | Blade thickness: 0.3mm

Dozuki Rip Cut Ideal for cutting tenon shoulders, haunches, and dovetails. The 18 tpi blade provides a maximum cutting depth of 1-1/4 in. The spine is slightly arched to provide additional stiffness since the blade cuts a kerf only 0.015 in wide. Blade length: 175mm | Handle: 165mm | Overall length: 340mm | Blade thickness: 0.3mm

Fine Dozuki Craft If you thought the crosscut Dozuki gave you a fine cut, this one will surprise you. The teeth are so tiny they behave almost like sandpaper as they cut through the wood, leaving behind a smooth, nearly finished edge. Blade length: 175mm | Handle: 160mm | Overall length: 340mm | Blade thickness: 0.3mm
