The Story

This is the perfect lightweight axe for the outdoor enthusiast with a modest budget. The Camper's Belt Axe, sometimes called the Ourdoorsman's Belt Axe was designed for hiking, camping and trapping. It is just the right size to easily carry with enough heft to help you make kindling and firewood for your campfire. 
  • American hickory handle. Brown leather belt sheath.
  • 14 1/2" overall. 5 1/4" fire tempered, hand ground axe head with 3 1/8" cutting edge
  • Made in United States

Snow & Nealley was founded in1864 (over 150 years ago). In the midst of the US Civil War, in the logging community of Bangor, Maine, Charles Snow and Edward Nealley began making high quality axes and other tools to supply the booming, local, logging industry.  Over the course of the last 150+ years, Snow & Nealley has maintained its commitment to high quality tools and are proud to manufacturer the entire Snow & Nealley line in Maine.
